Dr. Redding, a board-certified paediatric pulmonologist since 1986, created the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Seattle Children’s Hospital in 1992 and was the Pulmonary Fellowship Director (20 years). He has served in leadership positions in many organizations, participated on editorial boards (including Spine Deformity), and published more than 200 papers, reviews and chapters. He directs the Maternal Child Health Bureau-funded Pediatric Pulmonary Center which focuses on systems of care for children with special respiratory health care needs. Dr. Redding is a senior member of the international Paediatric Spine Study Group and conducts clinical research on spine and thoracic cage deformities in young children and their impact on breathing and sleeping.
