The RVA described in 1972 by Min Mehta makes it possible to differentiate between progressive infantile scoliosis and resolutive scoliosis. It is also useful for juvenile and adolescent scoliosis. It combines rotation and flat back. The double sagittal contour described by Grivas allows derotation in a brace to be monitored and, above all, is a prognostic factor for minor scoliosis.
